Vicki Salloum

Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, Vicki Salloum has made New Orleans her home for many years, cherishing its vibrant culture and the life she shared with her late husband, Wayne Joseph Holley. She is the author of Faulkner & Friends, A Prayer to Saint Jude, Candyland, and Waiting for You at Midnight, each rooted in a deep sense of place and a keen understanding of the human heart. Her short fiction has appeared in beloved anthologies including When I Am An Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple, Pass/Fail: 32 Stories About Teaching, Voices From the Couch, and Umpteen Ways of Looking at a Possum. A graduate of the MFA program in creative writing at Louisiana State University, Salloum brings warmth, insight, and a compassionate eye to stories that illuminate the resilience of ordinary lives.
